Sorbet for the Mind

She was born in NYC but was raised a Jersey girl in Teaneck. God called her home early this year and the world has been that much more drab ever since.

    Phoebe Snow was born Phoebe Ann Laub. As far as I know, she took the name “Snow” from a pre-WWI advertising icon, Pheobe Snow, used to advertise the DL&W, which used anthracite coal in its locomotive and produced little soot to soil Miss Snow’s white dress.
