Simon’s Edge™ – Vol. 22

Here is Volume 22 of “Simon’s Edge,” previously called “Simon Says Weatherwise & Otherwise,” an out-of-box and alternative collection of news link substantiated intelligence on the subjects of climate, weather, technology, financial investments/commodities, socio-economic and health-related risks, issues, ideas, potential “Black Swans” and insights  to help gain Bulldog Pundit readers an ‘edge’ in the onslaught of news from around the world.

LOOK TO ICELAND
This is an incredible story that you don’t hear much about any more.  Some may start saying that Iceland’s actions may be a model for how countries could re-organize their banking systems and governments.  Refusing to bow to foreign interests, this small country of just 320k people, stated loud and clear that the people are sovereign.

FIVE TWEAKS TO H5N1
We have infectious disease “experts” saying this work is medically important.  But if we are similar, you are asking, why in God’s name would someone want to do this?  You really have to “think” like someone / some agency that wants to invoke fear and have control.  Maybe this “research” is tied back to those “anonymous” persons that made the Georgia Guidestones (that instruct the ‘best’ population of the earth to be at 500 million)?

LATEST PREDICTION OF A RAPID EUROZONE BREAK-DOWN
Does Wolfgang become a poster child as the contrarian indicator of the Euro-Land imbroglio?  Essentially the prediction here is that if the European summit can reach a deal on December 9, the Eurozone will survive.  If not, it risks a violent collapse.  Even then, there is still a risk of a long recession, possibly a depression.  But why is Wolfgang Munchau (a Financial Times columnist) calling for the Eurozone to end so fast, in 10 days (or less)?  Because … of the increase in core yields, the failure of the German bund auction, and the increase in Spanish and Italian short-term yields (including Italy’s disastrous bond auction this past Friday), as well as the tightening of money for the banks. But is it not more than likely that the EU can concoct some new kind of ECB-backed / Eurobond / fiscal union?

A 30-SEC COMMERCIAL THAT MAKES ME SICK
Talk about being hoodwinked.  From a scientific perspective, these two former Speakers of the House make public their support to scam the people, period.  WeCanSolveIt.org is the Climate Reality Project, founded by Al Gore, and the slick displacement of Truth is just unreal.

BRIBE MONEY TO STAY IN A RADIATION ZONE
This article is in Japanese, but it reports that Japan is thinking about adopting the idea of “basic income” by distributing $650-$1000 per month to each citizen of Japan unconditionally.  With no apology for my cynicism … I have to tell it as I see it … they’re probably contemplating this as an incentive to keep their citizens, especially the young folks, in Japan – otherwise, considering the radioactive pollution and the ever-aging population, the youngsters would probably run away as soon as they grasp the full extent of the #$%^ they’re facing in the future.

SOLAR ENERGY HURTLING OUTWARD TOWARD EARTH, SHOWN IN 3-D
On November 26, a solar radiation storm began; in traveling approximately 930 km / sec (2 million mph), its energy will reach Earth about noon Eastern Time on Monday, November 28.  Fortunately, this storm is classified as minor, which means it has little effect on our planet other than to disturb HF radio transmissions at high latitudes.  This CME (Coronal Mass Ejection) will trigger geomagnetic storms in the form of auroras after nightfall on Monday.  Spaceweather.com is a good place to keep up-to-date on solar events.  In 2012 into ’13, stronger solar events are likely.

EXECUTIVE ORDER # 13575:  THE THEFT OF RURAL AND AGRICULTURAL LANDS FOR UN AGENDA 21
This is all about a forced taking of private property.  What is about to take place under the UN’s watchful eye is an unlawful detainer:  the Act or judicial fact of withholding from a person lawfully entitled the possession of land or goods, or, the restraint of a person’s personal liberty against his will.  Could it happen with great frequency?

BRAZIL LIKELY TO VOTE TO INCREASE, YEAH INCREASE, DEFORESTATION

Brazil is about to host the UN Conference on Sustainable Development and now it is talking-up this bill; coincidence?  I think not!  Senator Katia Abreu, President of the Brazilian Confederation of Agriculture and Livestock, has led an aggressive campaign for a reduction in environmental regulations on agricultural producers to help further boost food output.  She claimed in a recent interview that Brazil’s farmers could lose $100bn if the deforestation amnesty is not passed and they were forced to reforest large areas.  It is lunacy, especially since the Amazon is the lungs to our planet:  the new legislation could see 175 million acres of forest – an area roughly equivalent to Germany, Italy and Austria together – cleared or not restored following illegal deforestation. The laws would “likely make it impossible” for Brazil to meet its commitment of reducing deforestation by 80 per cent by 2020 compared to its average rate from 1996 to 2005.

THE WORLD’S POOR HAVE BECOME THE VEHICLE FOR GROWTH FOR TRANSNATIONAL CORPORATE GIANTS
The arrival of highly processed food and drink is a vector for lifestyle diseases, such as obesity, diabetes, heart disease and alcoholism, which are increasing at unprecedented rates in developing countries.  The biggest irony is this:  people there think others gaining weight in these unhealthy ways are happier because when they go back to their rural areas people say, ‘you must be doing well, you have put on weight’.  Being thin and losing weight is associated with Aids and TB, which makes being overweight seem more acceptable.  As affluent Western markets reach saturation point, global food and drink firms are opening up new frontiers among people living on $2 a day in low- and middle-income countries.

ADVICE TO PEOPLE IN TOKYO & EASTERN JAPAN:  RESEARCH, AND SERIOUSLY THINK OF A PLAN TO LEAVE
Contamination NW of Fukushima is now measured at 33x worse than Chernobyl.

As always, thanks for reading.  I appreciate your interest.  Until next week … connect the dots, be aware and seek out the ‘edge’ you need.
