Refuting Idiocy – Part 3

I began to dissect the following checklist of Obama accomplishments in Part 1 of this multi-part series. I say “multi-part” because I’m still unsure as to the number of postings it’s going to take to respond to these falsehoods, misrepresentations, and fantasies laid out below. Let us continue the Refuting Idiocy series with Part 3.

  1. Got Osama Bin Laden – CHECK (answered in Part 1)

  5. Ended war in Iraq – CHECK (answered in Part 2)
  6. DADT (Don’t Ask Don’t Tell) repealed- CHECK (answered in Part 2)
  7. Not one tax hike in 3 years – CHECK (answered in Part 2)
  8. By merely being smart, dignified, calm, cool, and Black, brought out spoken and unspoken RACISM in the GOP – CHECK
  9. Still carries 80+% of the black vote – CHECK
  10. Same wife for 15 years with NO extra marital affairs – CHECK

  15. Mortgage modification to prevent homeowners from losing their homes -CHECK
  16. STILL fighting for middle class families – CHECK
  17. Reformed affordable healthcare – CHECK

Notice the triviality of numbers eight through eleven. It’s sad that these even made the list.

8. By merely being smart, dignified, calm, cool, and Black, brought out spoken and unspoken RACISM in the GOP – CHECK

This is probably my favorite on the list. Take note because these are all the attributes that the media pointed out in their campaign to get Obama elected – smart, dignified, calm, cool, black, the list goes on. As is the case with most of their arguments, liberal Democrats never speak the truth and have to depend on a house of cards to win their arguments. The house of cards usually has a lot of lies attached to it and these claims are of no exception. Where was and where is the “unspoken” racism of the Republicans, the Tea Party, etc? Haven’t seen any? That’s because there isn’t any. It’s all been ginned up by the media, Democrats, and the list goes on. Democrats – the party of the Ku Klux Klan. The party of segregation. The party of Robert Byrd, Albert Gore, Sr., and other notable racists. This is the party that continuously calls out the GOP for its so-called racism. The same Democrat party that opposed nearly every aspect of civil rights legislation is the same group that now claims to be the champion of it.

This is akin to the famous kindergarten quip: “I know you are but what am I?” We’re dealing with children, essentially. Children who can not formulate cogent thoughts, children who see racists all throughout the Republican party (but not within their own); children who consider any criticism of the president to be rooted in racism. Liberals claim to be so tolerant, but yet they’re the ones always pointing out racism. They’re always the first to cry wolf. Isn’t that puzzling to anyone?

We were told that Barack Obama was going to be the most unifying president in history. He was going to be the “post-racial” president. He was going to bring us all together – singing choruses of “Kumbaya”. He was going to be the smartest president ever. The world was going to love us and forgive us our past transgressions (electing Bush being the most recent transgression). Instead, we put into office the most divisive president in history. He is anything but dignified. He is the most disrespectful man to ever hold the office of the presidency and he shows it on a daily basis. He’s calm, cool and collected until somebody disagrees with his policies. He’s arrogant, petulant, childish, narcissistic, buffoonish, and an embarrassment. I could go on, but I know you have other things you probably want to get to today.

With regard to Democrats being the party of civil rights and tolerance, Diane Alden wrote a story for Newsmax back on December 14, 2002 which dismissed any such notions. She pointed out:

In the 26 major civil rights votes after 1933, a majority of Democrats opposed civil rights legislation in over 80 percent of the votes. By contrast, the Republican majority favored civil rights in over 96 percent of the votes.

Citing a 1982 analysis written by Henry Rhodes of the Yale-New Haven Teachers Institute, Alden had this to say about the 1964 Civil Rights Act:

Because of the problem with a possible Senate filibuster, which would be imposed by Southern Democrats, the diverse aspects of the Act were first dealt with in the House of Representatives. The roadblock would be that Southern senators chaired both the Judiciary and the Commerce committees.

Kennedy and LBJ understood that a bipartisan coalition of Republicans and Northern Democrats was the key to the bill’s final success.

Remember that the Republicans were the minority party at the time. Nonetheless, H.R.7152 passed the House on Feb. 10, 1964. Of the 420 members who voted, 290 supported the civil rights bill and 130 opposed it.

Republicans favored the bill 138 to 34; Democrats supported it 152-96. Republicans supported it in higher proportions than Democrats. Even though those Democrats were Southern segregationists, without Republicans the bill would have failed. Republicans were the other much-needed leg of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

9. Still carries 80+% of the black vote – CHECK

Yes, we all know that the post-racial president has the black vote sown up. Why do you think the media took out Herman Cain before anyone else in the GOP presidential field? A Herman Cain nomination would have resulted in Obama getting his clock cleaned as a sizable portion of the black vote got siphoned off and you libs know it. We can’t have Obama contending with another black candidate – especially one articulating conservatism. Herman  Cain should have known better. Obama’s the first black president, so there can’t be any other impostors running around out there trying to get in on the action. We can’t have some other black guy speaking universal truths and conservatism to the black community. That would screw up Obama’s entire charade.

And for the love of God, we certainly can’t have Herman Cain running around preaching about upward mobility. Democrats have a monopoly on the black vote, especially when you’re the Dear Leader – the first black president. Liberals need that permanent voting bloc in order to stay in power. How have they done it for decades? It’s quite simple. They retain those votes by keeping the black community in the dark, demonizing Republicans, making sure a that a large majority of blacks remain dependent on government, and shutting up black conservatives that present an alternative to liberalism. Pure and simple.

10. Same wife for 15 years with NO extra marital affairs – CHECK

How does this rein in the deficit? Oh, it doesn’t. Ok, I was just checking. We all know this is a blatant shot at Newt, but the problem is that the intelligent people in this country – who care about the future – don’t give a damn about this. Do we want a president of principles, character and values? Yes, but just in case you libs haven’t noticed, we have bigger problems to deal with then Newt’s former infidelities. I don’t care if Barack Obama has been a faithful and pious saint all his life. I don’t care if he’s only had eyes for Michelle Antoinette these past 15 years. It’s irrelevant. Since when do we go out of our way to applaud men who stay faithful to their wives? What do they want, a cookie? That’s what they’re supposed to do for crying out loud. Listen, Obama may not be a home-wrecker, but he’s destroying the country. That’s reason enough for me to vote him out of office.

11. Can flat out sing – CHECK

This really made the list of accomplishments? If the Singing Marxist has such an impressive voice, he should have brought his immense talents to American Idol and not the Oval Office. I’d much rather see his stupid grin from the Idol stage then from behind the presidential lectern.
