I’m sorry to report that the section of town in which I reside is still bereft of both electricity and cable service; massive tree branches continue to dangle over low-hanging power lines and most of the homes in my neighborhood – the ones without electrical generators – are likewise bereft of inhabitants. It’s an eerie place to drive through at night.
Gov. Christie assures us that power will be completely restored to 95% of the state by Thursday evening. I suspect that on Friday he’ll announce that 99% of the state has electrical power and that’s when I’ll rejoice, because finally I will have become a member of the vaunted 1% spoken of (chanted about, to be more precise) by the OWS useful idiots.
In addition to a grueling work and home schedule, I have just come down with the flu and it’s battering me as badly as the Halloween Storm battered the Garden State. I’ll be over it in a couple of days and hopefully by Monday power and cable signal will both be restored.
Thanks for your patience.
