Is the Cain Train Coming to the Garden State?

I can’t think of any morale booster more potent than the Cain Train rumbling through New Jersey – especially in light of a CBS/New York Times poll published last night that has the Herminator edging out Mitt Romney by a four point margin. What makes this poll so important is the fact that it was conducted by two of the most egregiously biased appendages of the Drive-By Media, which is doing everything it can to steer the GOP base toward a Romney nomination. It must kill them to have to report that Cain is anything but the flavor of the week or a flash in the pan.

Businessman Herman Cain is now atop the field of Republican White House hopefuls, squeaking past former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney in the latest CBS News/New York Times poll.

Cain garnered 25 percent support of Republican primary voters in the poll released on Tuesday, compared to Romney’s 21 percent.

Thirty-two percent of Republican primary voters say they would enthusiastically back Cain if he became the party’s nominee, while 30 percent would have reservations about him. Fewer Republican voters would enthusiastically support Romney (18 percent) or Perry (14 percent), and more say they would have reservations about each of them (42 percent for Romney and 40 percent for Perry).

Fourteen percent of primary voters say they would not support Cain, and the same percentage says the same about Romney. Nineteen percent say they would not support Perry.

I wouldn’t be surprised if that 14% /19% demographic is comprised largely of RINOs and Paulbots. With each passing day and week, Cain continues to grow in popularity as more Republicans realize he’s the real deal and, unfortunately for the Democrats and their Drive-By operatives, he appears so far to be shielded with the same kind of Teflon that protected the Gipper.

And now it appears that Herman Cain – and conservative icon Mychal Massie – may be visiting central New Jersey in a few weeks: in an e-mail blast  late yesterday, Barbara Gonzalez and Bob Gordon of the Bayshore Tea Party floated the idea in an effort to gauge the level of enthusiasm and support for a campaign rally. If you are a fellow Cainiac (yes, it is a palindrome) and are willing to pony up $25 to help defray the cost of hosting the event, contact Barbara here and respond with a single word: YES. If you think you can get other people to join you, respond with YES##.

The sooner we can get Herman Cain to visit New Jersey, the faster we can begin consolidating support for him in the Garden State – especially in light of the fact that Gov. Zeppelin has endorsed Der Mittmeister and the state GOP is no doubt already working to arrange a NJ stop for the Romney campaign.

Let’s make this happen and become a part of history as the forces of liberty and the free market fight to take back our republic.

While you’re at it, please make a donation to the Cain campaign. Every dollar counts, so give generously.
